Function names from DLL export tables might appear truncated elsewhere in the debugger. That could be your problem. I have a dll project folder and i putting my windows application inside that project folder.That is why these reference issue coming in 2012(2005,2008,2010 do not have this issue).

A .pdb file is created when you build with /debug. A Dependent Dll Was Not Found Visual Studio 2012 It just had an option to reference the other projects in the sln.
