Are all of your servers in the same subnet? The comments are moderated. Our fix is either the NIC needs to be VMXNET3 (you said it already is) or update the physical NIC firmware. let me rephrase all the answers to your question.

Vmware -> eth0 as serverwan and eth1 as serverlan I have assigned the eth0 to the virtual system and i have connected the isp provided cable to the eth0, but still No, they are on different network now, the production server has been removed. Thought it was an issue with the virtual NIC, so switched it from the Intel one to the VMXNET 3 one, and I think it's supposed to help. I replaced Kali-linux guest IP address with Win7 guest IP address (and vice-versa).
