install.packages has an argument called repos that can be used to specify where to find the package that you'd like to install. so I've gone to some lengths to install R and library folders in non-default areas of my computer, and to allow myself rights to certain folders, but to no avail. Should I allow my child to make an alternate meal if they do not like anything served at mealtime? Can you try setting your repositories, excluding CRAN-extra?
Also I am getting same error when I try from my home network as well.
